Kevin Rudd today challenged John Howard and Peter Costello to a simultaneous debate, while campaigning in the marginal Liberal seat of Dobell today.

"I'd be delighted to have a debate where they share fifty-fifty," said the ALP leader after being popularly judjed the victor in last night's debate. "If they want to play tag team it's fine by me."

Later, Rudd made the most of his debate win the night before, helping three-year-old Tamara Brown transform a pink splodge on her page into a worm at a local childcare centre.

"What would you like me to paint?" Rudd asked the girl.

"An elephant," she replied.

"How about a worm? A wriggly worm," said Rudd, picking up a brush and painting a worm with a smiley face.

The Opposition leader then visited Deep Water Plaza in the safe Liberal Central Coast electorate of Robertson.
