12:00 - Kevin Rudd has addressed a press conference in Brisbane, outlining Labor's policies and plans should it win government tomorrow. Mr Rudd reiterated (once again) his belief that John Howard was not a good option for forward-looking Australians.
"For Mr Howard, the future is an afterthought. The future is my first thought," said Rudd. Rudd repeated his promise to govern for all Australians should the ALP form government after the election and managed to use the phrase "working families" on at least a couple of occassions.
07:00 - Kevin Rudd has come out punching on the last day of the election campaign declaring himself tough on border security. Mr Rudd told The Australian that illegal immigrants on seaworthy boats would be turned back by the Australian Navy. Other boat people would be processed on Christmas Island.
"You cannot have anything that is orderly if you allow people who do not have a lawful visa in the country to roam free," said Rudd. "That's why you need a detention system. I know that's politically contentious, but one follows from the other."
Earlier, Mr Rudd appeared on the Today show, telling viewers, "If I'm elected prime minister, I will be a prime minister for all Australians."
