John Howard caught up with Neil Mitchell on 3AW this morning to have a good old chin wag about saying sorry, the social obligations of banks, the importance of economic management and (most importantly) the cricket.
Howard told Neil that nothing should be read into the recent refurbishment of his Sydney home and that he is fully committed to winning the next election. However, the Prime Minister did not rule out leaving politics should he win the seat of Bennelong but lose government in the coming Federal election.
Howard also revealed he had yet to contact Phil Jaques to congratulate him on his maiden Test century scored against Sri Lanka at the Gabba yesterday.
