John Howard closed his weekend campaign on the Nine Network's Sunday program, where he pledged an extra $392 million for workplace skills training.
The money would be used to extend the Work Skills Voucher program, to help an extra 60,000 worker upgrade their qualifications.
The Prime Minister also lifted his unemployment goal from the current 4.2 per cent to to 3 per cent.
